West Port
West Port is a dynamic architecture and design studio based in Maida Hill, London. We endeavour to deliver high-quality, contextual contemporary buildings and places that positively engage and enhance their existing physical, social and natural environments. We are a small team with a diverse range of cultural and professional experiences. We treasure our varied international and interdisciplinary backgrounds, believing this combination to be the source of our ability to successfully collaborate with a range of clients and individuals.
West Port is at its core people driven, both as its overriding design principle, as a company culture and what it gives back. West Port was established in 2016 by Colin Cheng, Khalifa Abubakar and Shaun Ihejetoh. Meeting in 2006 at Edinburgh College of Art, we where drawn together from our shared values and what we believe good, well-thought architecture and design can achieve. There are few things we value above most; design-excellence, professionalism and making both of these accessible to everyone.
We firmly believe that for architecture to truly improve the quality of our built, social and natural environments it must broaden its audience and do much more to ask, invite, serve and involve all members of society in its activities. It is our endeavour to develop our practice in a direction that allows us to be present, approachable and accessible to as wide an array of people as we can.
