Unagru is an architecture, urbanism, and landscape design practice based in London.
We provide modern, light and comfortable design solutions for a wide array of needs. We believe in space's ability to influence people's lives, affecting layers of perception that deserve research and attention. Our process focuses on defining the needs as much as providing solutions.
Good design is an exciting, experimental and life-changing experience to both clients and designers; it starts by listening and slowly identifying aspirations, goals and worries; it carries on with more listening and pinning down design themes. It finally becomes a conversation with the clients at first, and then with other team members, that lasts throughout construction. Unagru stands for one crane; one crane (bird of the Gruidae family) guarding a harsh industrial landscape was the embodiment of independence, grit, and resilience. On the other hand, the crane, the machine used for hoisting heavy objects is a fascinating combination of natural power and human technology that enables change.
