As part of Open House London, We Design Homes invites you to join us in a series of online talks with some of the UK’s leading design-led architects, as they take us through a journey of their recent projects whilst discussing what it takes to create some of London's most exceptionally thoughtful homes.
Amos Goldreich Architecture
Tuesday 7th September (6-7pm)
Director of Amos Goldreich Architecture, Amos Goldreich, will be showing us through some of their latest residential projects, whilst discussing how they look to form a close collaboration with their clients and end users, to create buildings and places which have a positive impact on people’s lives and are a joy to experience. For them, architecture is about people and so our work is always delivered with an acute sense of empathy and pragmatism.
Studio Hallett Ike
Wednesday 8th September (6:30 - 7:00pm)
Jonty and Madeleine, founders of emerging architecture and bespoke interior design practice Studio Hallett Ike, take us through a journey of their award-winning home the ‘ER Residence’, as well as a number of other upcoming exceptionally designed homes driven by a want to deliver meaningful, articulate and passionate architecture in response to their client’s needs.
Oliver Leech Architects
Thursday 9th September (6-7pm)
With a growing portfolio of private new build and renovation commissions and strong reputation for the quality of his design and built work, Oliver Leech from Oliver Leech Architects will be taking us through how the practice uses light to create emotive spaces, and how they approach each project with a service-lead, holistic approach to deliver a range of truly thoughtful, personal homes for their clients.
For decades, the Open House Festival has been welcoming people of all backgrounds to share the history, spaces and fabric of our city. This year, as we renegotiate our relationship with our urban landscape, Open House is opening up its programme to proposals for physical and virtual events from across the city. Whether you have a building you’d like to open up, a talk you’d like to organise, an exhibition you’d like to stage, or a guided tour you’d like to lead, we want to use our programme this year to amplify your project.
The Open House festival programme of events has always been led by Londoners but this year more than ever, we are trying to include a diverse range of events and activities for the public — experimenting with new formats alongside carefully-managed traditional ones. The main Open House festival weekend is 04-12 September 2021, but this year we are accepting events and programme taking place in the two weeks either side from Sunday 4 September until Sunday 12 September.
