Woodrow Vizor Architects are a creative, energetic and skilled practice, based in South West London. The practice's approach, led by George Woodrow & George Vizor, is innovative and contextual - seeking to provide clients with modern, yet sensitive, design solutions no matter the complexities of their site, legal or spatial requirements.
Recently completed projects showcased here include our Yellow Steel House in Hampton Hill; our Bronzed Copper Extension in Queen's Park; our apartment renovation in Gloucester Road and our timber clad extension in Leytonstone. All are examples of our attention to detail in the design, management and execution - the results of which represent close collaboration with our clients and established consultant and contractor teams.
Along with our regular work we are the inspecting Church Architect to a Grade I Listed Church in Westminster and members of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings - the knowledge gained with this traditional, crafted, approach to the repair of the Church’s historic fabric is directly relevant to the practice’s work on homes; both with regards to traditional methods ensuring old brick, timber and stonework is properly cared for; and also with how modern natural and breathable materials can be used to ensure sustainable and healthy outcomes.
We are currently working on exciting private residential and small scale commercial projects in London and further afield in rural contexts - we look forward to sharing these with you in due course.
