We are an award-winning architecture practice founded in 2013 by Darren Oldfield. We design and deliver bespoke, carefully crafted buildings, responsive to the brief and budget of our clients, the environment, and context.
Natural light, volume and space are our key design principles, which we use to prioritise wellbeing and quality of life in every project. Light and space are fundamental human needs: we bring our design ingenuity to introduce these qualities to even the most constricted sites. We work with a variety of clients including private homeowners, developers and small businesses. Our work is mainly in the residential sector, with construction budgets ranging from £100,000 to over £1,000,000.
We believe that good architecture is collaborative, and shaped by positive relationships between clients, consultants and contractors. Over 95% of our work comes from existing client referrals & recommendations.
We do not work from a preconceived style template. Instead, we are playful and responsive with our approach, and we build sustainability into our projects from the very first design stages. Our considered material choices conserve energy in the construction process, and in the life of the completed building, making for more comfortable and energy-efficient environments. We make happy homes for people to lead long and fulfilled lives in them.
